Thick walls with 80 towers enclose Nurembergs old quarter. Kaiserburg Castle, the citys most famous landmark, dates from the 11th century and was home to Germanys kings and emperors for 500 years. In the 20th century, Nuremberg was the site of three of Hitlers biggest rallies, as well as the post-war trials of Nazi leaders. Today, Nuremberg is a major tourism and business destination.
