I found this resort offering very reasonable offseason rates through Expedia and it was almost everything I could have hoped for. There's a central building with three restaurants, exercise room, pool, etc., a golf course (which I think was between seasons) and 17 eight-unit buildings. The porter took me (and my luggage) by golf cart to and from the building. It was the best air conditioning in Brazil, very comfortable beds, beautiful surroundings, fantastic food, and (of course) a strategic location just a few kilometers from the magnificent Iguazu Falls. I was there for three days; I wish it could have been a month.
Very clean and spacious hotel. Modern rooms and lots of great facilities. Felt very new and some building work going on bit this was not a problem. Very popular with families. Location was further from the falls than expected but an easy 30 mins taxi ride to the Brazillian side. Great value for money too. All in all we were delighted and wished we'd been able to stay longer.

When we arrived we were not expecting such an amazing hotel. It says 5* on its entrance and we received very good service to indicate this. Rooms were excellent and when we asked to move room it was done so immediately. I would say ask for a room high up (there are 18 floors) we only moved as was on 2nd floor above disco which was too noisy. 18th floor restaurant was excellent, especially the flambe. Excellent breakfast too.

"Awesome location & facilities - bus to everywhere!"
I chose this hotel on Expedia over the hostels as it looks to be in a good location and the price is just a bit higher. It has proven the wisest decision for my trip to Foz do Iguazu!
- Location. I arrived around 1am at midnight. Rental cars were insanely expensive (a small car with manual tranny costs 400 reais for 2 days). Taxi was also expensive ($47 to the city) and didn't allow carpool! Then I found there was a direct bus line to this hotel and the bus came! Took me right to the hotel for 3 reais. The next day I found the hotel is right by TTU ("Terminal Transit Urbano"). There are direct bus lines to the waterfalls ("cataratas"), Itaipu dam ("Itaipu Binacional"), and the landmark for the boundary between the three countries. Just ask the staff at TTU!
- Facilities. The hotel is in downtown area. There is a travel agency inside the hotel building and the staff gave me free maps. There is a Brazilian BBQ buffet restaurant ("churrascaria") nearby that provides BBQ buffet by waiters walking around ("rozidio") for only 24 reais. Also there is a big shopping center ("Super Muffato") within walk distance, where you can get combo meals by weight and other groceries.
- People. This is a quite safe spot in the city. People around are either hotel staff, travelers, or "service providers". Didn't see any sketchy people.
I never write hotel reviews, but I had an absolutely fabulous time staying the weekend at this hotel. It is conveniently located near the city center, the bus station, and many restaurants. The staff are fantastic and so kind. The breakfast was huge, and offered everything you could imagine. The room was simple but very clean, as was the pool area. I would stay here again without hesitation! This was the best hotel I stayed at during my six week travels around Brazil.
If you are going to use the local buses for access to the Waterfalls, Aeroport, Argentina and Paraguay, from the Central Bus station, then this hotel is perfectly located only a 5min walk. It's also not too far from the International bus station on the outskirts. This was the main priority. A few restaurants located within comfortable walking distance and a bureau de change just three blocks away on the way to the bus station. The hotel breakfast was just lovely, lots of fresh bread, fruit, cereals, juices, hams, cheese and cooked food. Infact our bellies were just not big enough!! For dinner we ate a La Carte which was delicious and nicely presented. Reasonalbly priced. Rooms have cable telly on flat screen TV's but only one decent channel in English which was WB comedy. Heating/AC very efficient, beds and pillows comfortable. Staff helpful and accomodating. If you choose WIFI be aware that the signal can be poor or non existent in some rooms. Room 320 for example gets no signal! Try to ask for a room not on the main street as the only real downside to this hotel is that the noise of the traffic is pretty intense. The windows are single glazed and the rooms themeselves are not soundproofed, so if you are unfortunate enough to get a screaming child in the room next to you, good luck!!! Earplugs however are a real life saver!!!! Other than the latter it's a nice place to stay if you are there for 2 to 3 nights. Bon Voyage.
