We spent trouble free three nights from Friday in early September. The room was just the right size for a couple with two carryon bags. Good lighting, mini fridge, remote control flat panel tv, open storage with a few hangers, comfortable beds, controllable A/C, a chair and a couple of small tables were pluses. The bathroom did not disappoint us. No Peephole on the door is a minus. A guest knocked on the door to enter. After a few exchanges of words, we opened only to find she was lost. She did apologize when she found out it was not her or her friend's room. We made use of the free hotel safe with individual lockers of about 3x8x12 inches with separate keys. Breakfast of 15 euros is dearer than other 3 star hotels in the vicinity. We used the McDonalds round the corner. We also had a very tasty roasted corn on the cob from a hawker nearby. The
staff were friendly and helpful and full of knowledge about the Parisian sights and the transport. They also looked after our luggage after we checked out as our Eurostar back to London was at 6.15 pm on Monday. So after checking out, we visited the Galaries Lafayette, lunched there and came back to the hotel for a bit of rest on sofas on the first floor lobby. We even had iced water from the rest and the use of the very nice clean toilet. I think we would definitely use this hotel again and recommend to others.
"Conveniently placed, comfortable and well priced"
Stayed in one of the newly renovated twin bedded rooms, which was fine. Free wifi access, comfortable beds, good strong shower, TV, easily controllable airconditioning or heating and pleasant little verandah onto central courtyard..
Stayed: July 29th - Aug.2nd. 2014 This is a small hotel but very quaint. Rooms were nice with AC and phone. The staff was very friendly and very helpful for whatever you needed. No safe in rooms but if you need to use one they have one at the front desk which we used. Very close to the subway, just around the corner. They do have a few small restaurants on the block and more on the main street a half block away. Didn't eat breakfast there. I thought the price was a bit high. All in all this is a nice place. It is located in the N.E. of the city. I didn't like the fact that it only has 1 very narrow open staircase leading to all the rooms upstairs. But I believe that most hotels like this one are the same. I'm into safety. If this is not a concern, then this is a good place to stay.

The position of the hotel was very convenient. It is only 2 minutes walk to Metro 5 line which is only 10 minutes from Care du Nord. At 100 meters from the hotel there is a Super Market call “MONOP” were you can buy cheap things and especially water. There some restaurants close to the hotel so you have an additional choice for food
Very enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn Express La Villette. The room was very comfortable, with a pleasant view across the canal. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. Meals were good. Overall, we were very pleased with the services the hotel provided.
The room was very clean and they kept or bags as we were unable to checkin when we arrived because we were too early before checking time. The room we had was the biggest on the 6th floor. The main problem the room had was the slanted ceiling giving us much less space to move around. We went to the moulin rouge for a show late one night and were locked out for a bit waiting for someone to come open the front door to let us in.

"Very close to the fascinating Parc de la Villette"
Very nice hotel. The car park was reassuringly difficult to get into, making it very secure. Comfortable beds and pleasant surroundings. An excessive amount of artex on the walls is the only criticism.
