We spent here 4 nights and definitely would recommend a stay at Max to everybody who is looking for a comfortable newly refurbished accommodation which is offering a great location making it easy to explore the city. Staff is very friendly and speaks not only French and English but also Italian. FRESH Breakfast is served in a lounge next to the reception and there is a lot of a choice for everybody. We will definitely come back to Max hotel to continue are adventure in Paris.

Good hotel in a good location. Some gripes, shower is too small so it won't fit bigger people. I'm skinny and I barely fit in it. Room is clean and bed was very comfortable. Sometimes it was a big loud at night but I'm a heavy sleeper.
being that air france had a pilot strike the hotel manager Mr. Mathieu Bodin was very helpful arranging a new flight from paris to madrid and a hotel by the airport as his hotel was completely booked for an extra night, i highly recommend this hotel for their staff and kindness
When we arrived we were immediately upgraded to a superior room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was modern and clean with a great view over the city. Ideally situated for the Metro and buses.
The front desk person spoke excellent English, and was very friendly. We were happy with our experience in every way and would stay here again. We only stayed one night, but would happily stay here again on future visits. I think Montparnasse is the best location to stay in Paris, and this little hotel is perfectly situated.
A wonderful way to visit Paris, so much better than a hotel room. Nice Market and and bakery just around the corner. Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights. The owner was very prompt on any issue. If we are lucky enough to visit again, we would stay here again.

I booked this hotel from searching Expedia and viewing the reviews and pictures. Since booking this way is a bit of a crap shoot, we held our breath as we arrived. But the Hotel de la Paix exceeded our expectations. I was a bit worried when the clerk explained the lift (elevator) system upon our arrival, saying that it stops between floors. That sounded sort of scary, but turned out to be not a problem at all. (And don't expect an American style elevator--there's room for two people, or one person and luggage.) We arrived late in the evening and left very early in the morning and there was always someone on duty who was cheerful and helpful. The breakfast staff is also prompt and friendly.
The breakfast is a great deal also. We learned to eat hearty because we walked so much! Nice selection of croissants, including chocolate, bread, turkey, cheese, granola, yogurt, milk, fruit and more. You can also order eggs or an omelet. Decent coffee, and a selection of juice.
One night we had a drink in the lobby "bar." It's not an extra space, but the lobby itself, with a menu of drinks that the desk clerk will get for you. It's such a comfy space, the experience was quite nice.
