We stayed at the Fred Hotel for 3 nights in October. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this hotel.
Very friendly staff, excellent comfy room. Two metro stops very close by for easy access to all of Paris. Extensive array of local shops providing a wide range of fresh foods and produce.
Everything was perfect!! Room is clean and tidy, staff is friendly, bathroom is nice, and the breakfast is nice.. The juice and bread is fresh.. One drawback is there is not many boiled eggs and milk..

A brand new boutique hotel on Paris Left Bank , in the heart of Pernety district, Le Fabe Hotel is a dream come true, born …More
This hotel exceeded my expectations. Those who have traveled in Europe have come to expect tiny, dark hotel rooms. However, my room here was incredibly spacious, comfortable, bright, clean and modern. The bathroom/shower was also large and spacious (and everything in it worked). I also appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I don't speak French, and they were patient and gracious with me (unlike many other hotels I experienced in Paris). In the room, double windows open up for nice people watching on the street below. The view across the street isn't very charming -- just a big shopping mall -- but the hotel is within a two-minute walk of good charm -- wonderful streets, cafes, a sidewalk art exhibition on Sundays. Hip, fun, casual. Two metro stations within minutes walking. Also, across the street is the Montparnasse Tower -- one of the best views of Paris from its rooftop observatory (for about 14 eu). On Saturday night there was a wedding reception at the mall across the street -- kinda noisy -- but with the windows closed (and earplugs in) the noise disappeared.
The hotel was excellent and I would happily stay there again and I almost certainly will. The staff, location and facilities are great. One drawback, which I was warned about beforehand, is that the wifi is very slow in the hotel room. But it does work and if you wanted something better you can always to down to the lobby, which I did.
