I knew Parisian hotels were small but was surprised that the room was larger than expected. There was no decor on the walls but that was ok. Being we were there for only 3days we didn't need to unpack so I can't write about closet or drawer space. The modern bathroom was larger than mine back home!
The front desk staff spoke enough English to help us while the other staff had limited knowledge, but nonetheless we were able to get what we needed. We were given the name of several local restaurants that looked good as well as excellent directions to the many places to see.
Overall, the hotel, while a typical European hotel, was a nice place to stay. The continental breakfast was exactly what we expected and substantial enough to get us going in the morning, The hotel itself was comfortable and nicely appointed. The lobby was inviting where one can read the free daily newspapers.
We spent 3 nights with two teenage kids, and we all absolutely enjoyed staying here. Many cafes restaurants around the area and a close Metro station was a bonus. We took the 2 day Paris Pass which included the unlimited Metro pass and found this was the best option to look around Paris. I enjoyed many pints of 1664 :-)
Modern, very comfortable hotel. Great location for Metro, river, restaurants and shops but not in heart of tourist areas therefore the rate was good. Although not an upmarket area, it was unthreatening and cosmopolitan. Make sure you walk around and behind the new Bibliotheque Nationale to see redevelopment with cafés, restaurants etc.
We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and up to date. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of foods to choose from. The best part about this hotel was the location. It was about a two minute walk from the metro station which was convenient and made it easy for us to travel throughout the city. I would definitely go back to the Residence Richemont if I were to visit Paris again.
