The hotel was comfortable and within easy reach of everything in Paris. Close to some amazing restaurants again within walking distance. If you can handle the Metro you have Paris at your fingertips. Plus side that is has a pool. kinda small but its great for a little swim after a day sight seeing.
It is down a small side street next to the Garde Lyon but overall a good experience
We found it quite difficult to find the boat as the location wasn't in a particularly nice area however when we did the room was nicely decorated and even had a vase of fresh red roses - it looked just like the pictures. The food was really nice as long as you like what your given as it was a set menu (obviously apart from a vegetarian option) and the portions were quite small.
Our only disappointment was that there was a boat moored next to ours that had very loud music playing until 2am. It wouldn't normally bother us too much but it was our first anniversary and we were trying to have a chilled, relaxing time and, possibly because of being on the water, you could practically feel the thudding from the music in our cabin. We were informed that it is quite a frequent thing on a Friday and Saturday night but this was a Sunday and they hadn't been notified.
I would recommend staying on the VIP Paris but try and find out if there are any nearby events going on first so you can be prepared. A couple of things to note is that the drinks are actually cheaper from the mini bar in your room than they are from the restaurant and there is no hairdryer. Also you have to pay for a superior room if you want a view of the water and not the wall.
This hotel is very clean, boasting nicely decorated rooms, fantastic helpful and well informed staff, great breakfast and free internet...in a very convenient location close to Gare de Lyon and the metro. A real gem for the price.
.....everything was fantastic. The people on the reception was very nice. The bedroom and the shower box was small but was ok for the price I paid. The tv doesn't have cable channel
and sometimes was boring . The only think i was a litle upset was with the cleaners that make noise and bang doors about 7am, every day.
The hotel was one of the best I stayed in Europe for its budget price. Although does not have an elevator, the staff was super friendly n helpful with everything I needed from directions to help with the luggage. Cleaning service everyday, flat screen in the room n free internet were a great plus! The location is very good, just a few meters from the Metro station. Win-win!

Only needed a hotel for one night and booked this hotel on a wim. But possibly one of the best decisions I made on this short trip. When I arrived, the kind lady at the front was already expecting me. She helped me with parking (because despite it saying it has free parking, it doesn't but plenty of places nearby to park). Afterwards she gave us our keys and the staff took us to our rooms. The rooms were so cute and very clean. Great view, great rooms, great staff. Despite having the whole day ahead of us, I was excited for bed time already!! The staff take the keys for safe-keeping and understandably, I totally trusted them, but if you are worried, do make sure you make use of the safe facilities. We arrived back very late and there was a kind gentlemen at the front who was there to give us our keys. All the facilities in the rooms were perfect and I slept one of the best nights in ages! The pillows are just so fluffy!!
In the morning, breakfast was an extra, but due to shortage of time, we opted in. It was totally worth it, warm pastries, teas and drinks, cereals, so much on offer. Such a pleasant stay!
