.....everything was fantastic. The people on the reception was very nice. The bedroom and the shower box was small but was ok for the price I paid. The tv doesn't have cable channel
and sometimes was boring . The only think i was a litle upset was with the cleaners that make noise and bang doors about 7am, every day.
I chose the hotel because of its closeness to a great film archive and library and theater, The Cinematheque Francais, where I was doing sabbatical research on world cinema. I'm a professor of film studies in an American college. I was pleased to discover that the Ibis Style brand is a cut above the standard Ibis hotels scattered across Europe. A bit more expensive, but not horribly so (on Parisian standards). The room was smallish, but with a comfortable bed, attractive decor, and a wonderful walk-in shower..And a TV connecting you to multiple cultures throughout Europe.
But the biggest plus in my view is the immediate environment. In comparison to the bustle and noise of the center of Paris, Bercy is a quiet and peaceful alcove of sorts, yet just a few Metro stops away from major tourists sights, and only a 30 minute walk along the Seine to Notre Dame. And just a few minutes away is the lovely and tranquil Parc de Bercy. A convenient sanctuary.
i have just recently returned from a girls weekend away to paris where we stayed in the quadruple room at hotel albe bastille and can't really fault the place! :-) the hotel is situated just off bastille square and within walking distance of the metro station.. perfect location! our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels also being provided. we had an issue with our safe that was dealt with promptly after phoning reception. upon check out, reception kindly phoned around to see which was the cheapest way to get to the airport (we didn't fancy navigating the metro again with all our luggage after our first go during rush hour!!) great hotel and great service from the staff.. would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family :-)

We found it quite difficult to find the boat as the location wasn't in a particularly nice area however when we did the room was nicely decorated and even had a vase of fresh red roses - it looked just like the pictures. The food was really nice as long as you like what your given as it was a set menu (obviously apart from a vegetarian option) and the portions were quite small.
Our only disappointment was that there was a boat moored next to ours that had very loud music playing until 2am. It wouldn't normally bother us too much but it was our first anniversary and we were trying to have a chilled, relaxing time and, possibly because of being on the water, you could practically feel the thudding from the music in our cabin. We were informed that it is quite a frequent thing on a Friday and Saturday night but this was a Sunday and they hadn't been notified.
I would recommend staying on the VIP Paris but try and find out if there are any nearby events going on first so you can be prepared. A couple of things to note is that the drinks are actually cheaper from the mini bar in your room than they are from the restaurant and there is no hairdryer. Also you have to pay for a superior room if you want a view of the water and not the wall.
This hotel is very clean, boasting nicely decorated rooms, fantastic helpful and well informed staff, great breakfast and free internet...in a very convenient location close to Gare de Lyon and the metro. A real gem for the price.
Great hotel that is close to the Cour-Saint-Emilion station. Bercy village is also situated very close to the hotel. There is a Monop store right at the end of Bercy village which makes shopping for daily necessities / souvenirs really easy. Shops may look small but many has a basement level.
Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Full height window makes room cosy.
We had a lovely stay, easy walking distance from train station with luggage in tow and a metro stop very close by to get you wherever you want to go whilst in Paris. A lot of the sights in comfortable walking distance as well. Friendly and professional staff, lovely bathroom and very comfortable beds, big pluses.
My wife and I had a fantastic stay over the weekend. The staff were so friendly and very helpful.Great location to the central station ( only a few minutes walk ) to jump on trains or use the tube. The only down side is it is a fair way out from the airport.A good 35 mins in a car with clear traffic.Wouid recommend the hotel.
Small, older but refurbished hotel very close to the Seine and walking distance to Notre Dame. Great staff. We arrived in Paris very late - 1am - unexpectedly and a quick call to the hotel was all that was needed to be sure that someone would be there when we arrived. They did not have a 24-hr front desk, so we really appreciated that they waited for us to arrive.
