Booked a 3 bedroom cabin and was not available. Cabins had been oversold for the weekend. We were not the only ones that this happened to. Most of the cabins are monthly rentals with only a few available. Booked well in advance but owner blamed Expedia for overselling. Other's had not not booked through Expedia and still didn't get their cabin

A lot of potential bIt run down.
My wife stayed here a few years ago and liked it. Sadly the experience could not be replicated. The place clearly has seen better days, yet one can see the potential for it what it could be. A beautiful setting and great assets that could be revived with a little bit of TLC. The breakfast was very poor and the items just slammed on a table. For coffee that had conventional coffee in single dose PODS. In a natural setting like this, one would expect that the proprietor would care about receding waste and recycling, but sadly that is not the case. The pool and gym were quite dirty and we did not feel very comfortably for safe using it. Our daughter loved the friendly cat and dog, but the cat litter box in the lobby hadn’t been leaned in days or more than a week. The team was friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to use a power outlet to charge our car and late check-out was not problem. I am sad to say, that we won’t be back. Please take a hard look at what you do and see that you can turn this around. There is a lot of potential here. Do it before your assets deteriorated beyond salvageable.

The room was very nice in a very mountain natural environment. I would have liked the pool and hot tub open later as a traveller only spending one night.

Trip to BC
The first room we were assigned to was not acceptable, dated and musty. We got a different room and it was much much better. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a nice view. The photos are definitely dated and the overall condition of the whole facility seems to have seen better days. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Reasonable price and would stay again. There is a nice grocery store very close at the 108 mile mall.

The resort was quiet, easy to find and get to. Parking was free and close to our room. On the bad side, there was an unpleasant odor in the hallways, but thankfully it wasn't as strong in the rooms.

Not great.
Spruce Hill was ok. It wasn’t anything glamorous at all. The cabins were clean, but we were provided with very watered down dish soap, and it was a struggle to get clean towels and toilet paper. The hot tub wasn’t clean at all either. It shows a very nice restaurant in the pics, but that was closed which was frustrating. There is a hill with tubes for the kids which was really fun but that was the extent of our stay.

We keep trying to give this location a try because of the pool, hottub, and sauna. On different occasions we've had stale costco muffins for breakfast, the only option (there were not enough for the next guests who came in). And so much hair on the bedding we were not sure if it was even washed. The Rolling hills resturant nearby was fantasic though!

First let me say that our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. This property has very limited check in hours (3-8 pm) but was helpful in accomodating our late arrival. The property is pet friendly and has ample area to exercise your pet. That said, the property seems to be in transition and the general condition is poor. In room supplies were limited ( 2 towels, 2 hand towels, two facecloths) and one each of bath supplies. These were clearly designed to last the entire 2 night stay (for two people) as the room was not serviced in any way (garbage, bed made, fresh towels, etc...). Not a bad stay but you definitely need to rein in your expectations on this one.

No reception other than the worker at the pizza shop. No restaurant as advertised, food left in cafeteria was rotting the whole place was a mess. Expedia should not use this place as every person I talked to was disgusted with the place. Looks like it has been abandoned. Also no pool or hot tub as acess was blocked.

Not at all as advertised! Dirty bedsheets in master bedroom, smelled of human body odor. Missing top bedsheets in upstairs bedroom. Multiple burned out lightbulbs. Filthy BBQ on deck. Kitchen furnishings looked unwashed. No dishcloths. Broken tiles in bathroom that rocked when walked on. Peeling paint on all outside rails. Landscaping hadn't been maintained for years. Clubhouse in state of neglect. Obviously was once a beautiful resort. Now a very sad, broken down, and neglected version of former glory. Will never come back.

The property needs a lot of TLC as it’s run down & dirty. The owner even walked in on us by mistake. The complimentary breakfast consisted of fruit loops, good OJ, stale bread which makes stale toast, hard boiled eggs BUT, if you want a “real breakfast”, pay $10 and he will cook you a plate of scrambled eggs, limp bacon, tater tots & sausages…Don’t do it! The new owner tries very hard to please but I think he has taken on too much.

Great Stay!
Beautiful setting evergreen trees and huge log style hotel and the beds were amazing ! So comfortable loved the duvets and soft bedding. The free continental breakfast was great great coffee, juice toast, cereals you helped yourself boiled eggs! Lots of hot water ! We really enjoyed the grounds and would like to go back and mountain bike or cross country ski!

Not worth the headache. Room had an air conditioner, but was put in the window with taped up particle board covering the rest of the window. This was concerning given that this window went out onto a shared balcony, and the room could easily be broken in to. Bathroom was full of small flies, floors were not properly cleaned, and just overall was not a good room to stay in. States that the rooms are pet friendly (with a fee) but was told if the dog goes on any of the furniture (including the bed) there would be a $100 fee. Free breakfast consisted of cornflakes with no milk available, and thats it. Was supposed to stay two nights, but checked out after one due to unsafe/unclean conditions.

This is not resort and they don’t offer the things that were suppose to be provided, like continental breakfast. The restaurant isn’t even open so luckily I called before and ate before I arrived. The lobby and and breakfast area are in complete disarray. Honestly it’s lodging for people working in the area and should not be labeled as a spa/resort. I won’t dispute it but I honestly feel like I deserve a refund as I had no choice but to stay here at the time, otherwise I would have left.

Unfortunately this property has been run down and there has been zero maintenance done in many years based on the chalet we stayed in. Broken door, screens, dirty and with no a/c we tried to keep the windows open but the screens had holes/gaps so we were eaten alive by mosquitoes :( super disappointed as we have had good stays here in the past. We did however get our money back when we said we were checking out early so I am thankful for that.

The pizza restaurant was absolutely amazing. The lodge is in good repair. The rest of the property is in disrepair. The beds in the motel where comfortable but the ceiling in the bathroom was coming down. The view was beautiful. We had to call the hotel to get someone to check is in, as we waiting 20 min and no one came to the front desk. They had signs saying the pool was getting repaired and it was closed, but it wasn't. They said we could use it, which was great but very confusing regarding what the sign stated. Unfortunately this once beautiful place had fallen way below the standards it once held.

Do not stay here. It's dirty, no free breakfast as it was part of booking, not even coffee. Restaurant not open, rooms were dirty flies in bathtub, dead bugs on window sill. Out room never locked, air conditioning didnt work. There was a guy going around stealing stuff owner said to call the police which we did only to find out he works and lives there. Owner over booked 5 rooms, we were there for a wedding and some of the guest didnt have a room to sleep in. All i can say is its gross DO NOT STAY HERE

The pool was great but it had been cordoned off presumably for maintenance. Showers were inaccessible Breakfast was not ready at designated time and was inadequate. Only food available for dinner was pizza although the website indicates there was dining and a nice menu. The grounds are beautiful but need a lot of maintenance. I stayed here about 25 years ago and it was an upscale resort. I didn’t see that this time so I was disappointed.

Overall the property is outdated. The bathroom had been refinished, but not finished. The countertop and sink were not fastened to the cupboard. There was still drywall dust everywhere. The bathroom door did not lock. The manager/front desk attendant was nowhere to be found, and showed up briefly to take my credit card, give me the key, and that was the end of our interaction. Stopped here a number of years back, and it was a similar experience. I was hoping something would have changed, but it had not.

The place is run down. Website is not what you get. The bath tub had no plug. No cups in the room anywhere. Tried to charge me a different rate than advertised on Expedia. A stack of 30 plus old mattresses outside. Unfortunately this resort used to be beautiful and well kept. Crap home now
